The Service League of Cherokee County is proud to announce the success of its annual Christmas Children program, which brought joy and essential support to over 170 children and their families this holiday season. This cherished initiative reflects the League’s deep commitment to meeting the needs of students and families across Cherokee County.
Each year, the Christmas Children program identifies families in need, providing gifts,
clothing, and necessities to brighten their holidays. This year’s success was made possible
through the generosity of donors, local businesses, and the dedication of Service League
members, as well as the vital support of school counselors and social workers, whose
partnership was instrumental in reaching children most in need.
“We could not have done this without the generous donation from the Bar Association and
the “Cobb EMC Foundation”, as well as the incredible collaboration of school counselors and
social workers,” said Stephanie Barber/President-Elect. “Their support, combined with the
generosity of our community, made it possible to bring smiles and hope to so many families.”
On December 7, 2024, following the League’s annual Reindeer Run, members gathered in
Canton to collect and organize Big Ticket items, such as bicycles, tricycles, and tablets. These
gifts, along with countless others donated or purchased through fundraising efforts, were
delivered to families just in time to create magical Christmas mornings.
The Service League extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making
