Gala & Benefit

The Service League Gala & Benefit is a black-tie optional, community-wide annual event that raises money for children in need in Cherokee County and honors a community member with the presentation of our annual Heritage of Hope Award. The night will consist of dinner, music and dancing, community mingling, and a silent auction.

The Service League of Cherokee County donates a portion of the evening’s proceeds to a chosen non-profit organization working to improve the lives of children in our community. The beneficiary is announced every year, when tickets go on sale.

Tickets will go on sale in December of this year for the 2027 Service League Gala and Benefit.

Heritage of Hope Award

Each year, the Service League of Cherokee County accepts nominations for the Heritage of Hope Award. This award is presented each year at the Gala and Benefit. This special honor recognizes an outstanding community member who serves as a role model of compassion, selflessness, and service, bringing hope and support to children in need throughout Cherokee County.

Nominees must live or work in Cherokee County, and anyone in the community is invited to submit a nomination. Each nomination will be carefully reviewed by a dedicated committee using a fair and consistent rubric to ensure every nominee receives equal consideration. Following the committee’s evaluations and recommendations, the Service League’s Executive Board will thoughtfully select the recipient.

The Heritage of Hope Award recipient is revealed and honored at the Gala and Benefit, highlighting the remarkable impact individuals in our community have on the lives of children. Nominations will open in October of this year, so be sure to watch for the announcement and submission details.
