Online Registration is now closed. We will have registration available Friday, December 3 5-7PM during package pickup and Saturday, December 4 prior to the race, beginning at 7:30 AM.
The Run for the Children 5k is an annual event hosted by the Service League of Cherokee County. It consists of a 5K race and a 1-mile fun run. Due to the timing of the race, early December, it has been nicknamed the Reindeer Run and has a Christmas theme that includes an appearance from Santa to cheer on the runners. Out of an abundance of caution, the 2020 race was cancelled due to Covid-19. However, we are excited to announce that the race is back on for 2021 and we are looking forward to seeing all the familiar faces, as well as many new ones as we raise money for the children of Cherokee County. The Run for the Children 5k is a Peachtree Road Race Qualifying Event and is a great opportunity to exercise while supporting a fantastic cause!
We are looking forward to the 18th annual Run for the Children which will take place in early December 2021 at Etowah River Park in Canton, Georgia.
