Timbers on Etowah
The Service League Gala & Benefit is a black-tie optional, community-wide annual event that raises money for children in need in Cherokee County and honors a community member with the presentation of our annual Heritage of Hope award. The night consists of dinner, music, community mingling and a silent auction.
The Service League of Cherokee County donates a portion of the evening’s proceeds to a chosen non-profit organization working to improve the lives of children in our community. Stay tuned for more information about the 2025 Gala beneficiary!

Presented by
Heritage of Hope Award
Each year at the Gala and Benefit, the Service League presents the annual Heritage of Hope Award. The award honors a member of our community who is a role model for compassion, service, and for giving hope to children in need in Cherokee County. Recipients must live or work in Cherokee County.
The nomination period for the 2025 award is now open! Nominations are accepted from community members in the months prior to the Gala and Benefit and will be vetted by a committee who weighs each nominee using a rubric to ensure fairness to all nominees. The Executive Board of the Service League of Cherokee County selects a Heritage of Hope Award recipient after careful review of the committee’s recommendation, nominations and scores, and the recipient is announced at the Gala and Benefit. This year’s nominations are due no later than Sunday, December 1, 2024. Questions about the award should be sent to heritageofhope@serviceleague.net.
