On December 6, 2025, Etowah River Park was filled with festive cheer, running shoes, and a shared commitment to helping local children as the annual Reindeer Run for the Children returned for another successful year. With slightly chilly running weather and an incredible community turnout, the event proved to be a success.
Approximately 500 runners registered for the event, with an estimated 400 participants taking to the course for the 5K and 10K races. From competitive runners chasing personal records to families enjoying a fun holiday tradition, the energy throughout the park was contagious.
The event would not have been possible without the support of an amazing volunteer team. Nearly 50 “Santa’s Helpers” volunteered their time, along with our dedicated Service League ladies, all working together to ensure a smooth, safe, and welcoming experience for runners and spectators alike.
The Reindeer Run was also proudly supported by 27 generous sponsors, whose commitment to the community helped make this event a reality. Thanks to their support and the enthusiasm of participants, the race raised approximately $15,000, with a finalized total to be announced in the coming weeks once remaining race funds and expenses are reconciled.
